Rivers of MUD is a Diku and Merc based multiuser dungeon. If you haven't played a MUD, the concept is sort of a cross between computer adventure games and Dungeons and Dragons, but add in the capability to play with people from around the world. I'd highly recommend you give it a try: you will find it's a great way to have fun and meet people at the same time.
